Asian caterer in Time Out Guide
Multi-award winning restaurant caterer Madhu’s has been given further recognition for its impeccable menu and unparalleled service by being featured in the annual Time Out Top 50 London Restaurants Guide.
The restaurant’s recognition by London and the UK’s most respected listings publication is a further notch on the culinary belt of restaurateur Sanjay Anand’s ever burgeoning list of achievements, following the MBE he was recently bestowed with by Her Majesty the Queen, for his services to the hospitality industry.
Madhu’s is a renowned for exclusively serving its delectable Punjabi cuisine with a Kenyan Asian twist at the food halls of the world’s most famous store Harrods, London.
On receiving the news of his restaurant's listing, Anand comments: “It means a lot to be recognised by Time Out in this way – it goes to show that the hard work, the passion and the love for good food and service that the entire team at Madhu’s shares, is noticed by our clients, industry aficionados and critics alike. Madhu's started out being a 36-seat restaurant with Sanjay's mother as the chef. Today Madhu’s is a two level restaurant and the food is cooked by chefs trained by the luxury hotel group Hyatt. The restaurant's delicious food has earned much accolade and attracts gourmet diners and celebrities from across London.
Following a disastrous fire in 2002, Anand refurbished the restaurant with a chic new style that now
includes a calming water feature underneath the glass floor at the entrance, black granite features, modern high chairs and polished floorboards.
Moving from strength to strength, Madhu’s is established in the catering industry as the top UK Asian outside caterer, the only and first Asian caterer accredited by the top West End hotels including London’s Hilton on Park Lane, Café Royal, Carlton Tower and Grosvenor House Hotel. Madhu’s regularly caters for some of the most prestigious events in the UK, including the Asian Business Awards attended by HRH Prince Charles, the Duke of York and HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
